Every active wildfire in Spain, tracked against official civil protection bulletins, with clear status labels: active, stabilized, controlled, extinguished.

Real burned-area outlines from the EU's Copernicus programme, shown alongside — never replacing — the official figures.
Daily fire risk index
The Fire Weather Index (FWI) from Copernicus/ECMWF, the same source used by Spain's national weather agency AEMET.
Press vs. official data
Fires reported only by the press are clearly flagged as unconfirmed until an official source catches up.
The live map's interface is currently in Spanish only — region names, official source labels and press reports are shown as published. Status colors and badges (active/stabilized/controlled/extinguished) are consistent throughout and explained in our English glossary guide.
